Established in 1847 under the leadership of Dr. Lewis Letig Pinkerton, a physician and pastor of Midway Christian Church, Midway College is the only college in Kentucky exclusively for women. It is located on 200 beautiful rolling acres in Midway, Kentucky, the heart of the bluegrass region, just 15 minutes from Lexington.

Midway College is proud of its long association with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and is an active participant in the Higher Education and Leadership Development of the Christian Church. The bluegrass region of Kentucky has one of the highest concentrations of Disciples in the country. Midway College has a high percentage of Disciples students and offers several Disciples-related scholarships.

Midway College provides a living and learning environment that empowers women as leaders. We also offer degree-completion programs in the evening for working men and women through the School for Career Development, and online through Midway College ONLINE. In 2008 the College's first graduate program was launched, an accelerated MBA degree program.
