In covenant with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and in cooperation with ecumenical and educational partners on the West coast, the Disciples Seminary Foundation serves God through the formation and support of emerging theological leaders for diverse Christian communities.

The Disciples Seminary Foundation's provides formation and support for M.Div., M.A. and Ph.D. students enrolled in the Claremont School of Theology (United Methodist) and Claremont Graduate University; Pacific School of Religion (UCC related), San Francisco Theological Seminary (Presbyterian Church USA), and the Graduate Theological Union.

At the same time, we recognize the rapidly changing culture and educational process in which emerging theological leaders prepare for ministry and we are constantly seeking new ways to provide formation and support for non-degree students on the West coast preparing to serve in the Christian Church.

DSF was established in 1960 and is the youngest member of the Higher Education and Leadership Ministries' Council on Theological Education. It holds comity relationships with the seven western regions of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and draws its student body from a diverse geographic and cultural population. It is governed by a 20-member Board representing several regions and the UCC. Its main office is in Claremont, California.
