HELM’s Leadership Fellows Program is the experience of a lifetime, combining education with travel and overwhelming amounts of excitement. Not only did this program aid in my pursuit of higher education by providing financial and spiritual comfort, but it also led me to lifelong friends and memories that will never fade. Each year of the Leadership Fellows Program has been better than the last, with the readings and discussions transforming my mind and travel expanding my worldview. I can honestly share that I don’t know any other college students who have been blessed with such enriching experiences, aside from my peers within HELM. I’ve been granted chances that I never knew were possible before entering college and will always be grateful for my time within such a life-giving program. The curriculum of the Leadership Fellows Program is thoughtful and unique, and the leaders are second to none. Thanks to them, I have made connections and memories that stretch from my hometown in West Virginia to as far as Alaska. I wish I could put my thanks into more profound words, but my time within this program has been nothing short of amazing. Perhaps it’s the type of experience that can never be truly described in the way it so tremendously deserves. Perhaps “blessing” is the best way to summarize it.
